The Forest Grove School District (FGSD) is pleased to announce the hiring of Kristie Freeman as the new Assistant Principal at Neil Armstrong Middle School (NAMS). Ms. Freeman will start her new position on July 1, 2021.
After learning she had been chosen for the position, Freeman said, “I am truly grateful and extremely excited to be selected as the new assistant principal at Neil Armstrong Middle School. I look forward to partnering with our new principal, Juliana Kelly, and continuing to work with our phenomenal students and staff. I believe Neil Armstrong Middle School is on a path to greatness.”
Ms. Freeman has taught language arts at the middle school level for 22 years. For the past five years, she has taught language arts at NAMS, served as the department lead and served as a member of the leadership team. Before joining the NAMS staff, Freeman taught language arts at Jewell Middle School, Scappoose Middle School and Jefferson County Middle School.
Ms. Freeman received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Language Arts Teaching from George Fox University in 1999 and her Masters of Education from George Fox University in 2020.
