Welcome to Neil Armstrong Middle School!
This learning community is a very exciting and inclusive place to be. We are proud to offer a safe, and rewarding learning environment where your students may thrive academically, and socially. We want our school to be an extension of your home. Our students are full of energy and curiosity, and we strive to meet those educational and emotional needs. Our main focus is academic achievement, overall continuous improvement, and closing the opportunity gap. We work hard to provide developmentally appropriate and rigorous opportunities for all students. In order for them to be as successful as possible, however, we need to have a partnership with you – their parents and guardians. Furthermore, we ensure that our equity work becomes the lens that enable every initiative to be critically examined.
Please let us know how we are doing and how we can do a better job for you and your student. But also, please support us through helping your child understand that boundaries and expectations are an important part of any organization. This is a critical understanding for a school culture. Also, please help us and your student by showing them that school really is important and with that importance comes the responsibility and necessity to do your best and study hard. Set a time and a place for your child to complete their homework – which is expected – and monitor their efforts.
We look forward to getting to know your children and you and helping to shepherd them through this extraordinary time in their lives. Let us enjoy the journey as well as the outcome. The sky's the limit when you commit your heart and soul.
